Jeremy M. Mclaughlin

Jeremy is a partner in the San Francisco office of international law firm K&L Gates, where he leads the firm’s payments and fintech group and co-chairs its digital asset practice. He focuses on regulatory compliance and enforcement for fintechs, digital asset platforms, and other consumer financial products and services. Jeremy represents a broad range of clients, including money services businesses, crypto exchanges, token issuers (including NFTs), digital wallet providers, DeFi platforms, and credit and prepaid card companies. His advice focuses on product structuring and compliance with money transmitter laws, international remittances, anti-money laundering laws, abandoned property laws, gift card rules, and licensed lending laws.
