Hailing from Hollywood, California, and of Filipino descent, Reena made history in 2022 as the first Pacific Islander contemporary painter to lecture at Cambridge University. Her 2018 Immersive Presentation in Germany showcased the Trilogy Astronaut series. Her talk at the Conference of Human Analog Space Missions impacted analog astronauts in I.C.E space missions, inspiring her 7 ft by 7 ft magnum opus, "ESCAPING," now housed in a Malibu space exploration venture capital company. Committed to giving back, she founded the ARTE Youth Program, nurturing art education for underprivileged youth, offering tools and mentorship to budding artists from low-income backgrounds.
